FAQs
This is a simple yet useful online tool to sharpen your calculation skills.
Why should I care about it?
If you are preparing for any competitive exams like SSC, CAT, MAT, GATE, Bank PO, IBPS,
statistical-analysis or any other which requires you to calculate without a calculator, chances are
that you need this.
What chicanery have you used in explaining the calculations so succintly? Is this proprietary ?
Nope! Everything that is shown here has been in use for over 2000 years. People know it as
Vedic Maths, but it may also be known as mental maths, quicker maths, faster maths and other glib
names which people use to sell their products.
How much time should I invest on it to become a master?
You should ideally practice for 20 mins daily to see improvement in yourself in 30 days. The more
you practice, more proficient you become.
Should I practice for more than 20 minutes to achieve results faster?
Improvement of 1% daily over the previous day will make an improvement 37.5 times over a period of
365 days ( 1.012 = 37.78). Furthermore, an improvement of 2% daily will make an
improvement of 1377.4 times in 365 days ( 1.022 = 1337.4). So take it as you will but
yeah, it would surely help.
Am I okay if I am able to do most of the sums within the 10 seconds time limit?
Nope, the 10 seconds time limit is set here to get you started. Ideally, to crack any exam, you
should strive to get results of a calculation within first 3 seconds. Frankly, to spend 10 seconds
on a single calculation is a luxury that you can't afford in any exam worth its salt.
